Super tasty food and fast delivery. Definitely try the spicy tofu!
Everything is ala carte. No chips and salsa included. Sour cream is extra = $1! 😳 My small burrito was $8 via the lunch special. It was the size of a Taco Bell burrito. A little underwhelming.
Great place to grab a drink and chill. Staff is super friendly. Happy hour is a must.
Food is amazing and the frozen drinks are awesome
Awesome place great location definitely satisfying
Super nice, clean, and delicious try the cactus pear margarita! Delicious
Great for late night drunk food
have been a true fan of their food since the original one opened up by St marks place, then followed them to williamsburg location and they closed it me and my wife where sad , this is the last spot to get our sangrias and enchiladas 'GRINGO-MEX" TO THE FULLEST it used to be our date night spot in williamsburg first north 4th st then on Driggs.
Great food. The fish tacos were excellent
Amazing food at a reasonable price
The food is delicious, the service is fast, and personable. This is not a really a family joint. It's more a place where friends meet after work, to share authentic Mexican food. There are no waiters. One basically orders at the counter, and then takes the food back to the table.Warning: The place is not that big, and it fills up fast, so be prepare to wait for a table; however, the wait is not long, and well worth it. Also, your not going to pay premium prices, however, the food is not that cheap, (3 soft-shell, chicken tacos, 2 hard-shell beef tacos, a side order of rice and beans, (which is pretty small), a soda, was $ 40. Again, if you're keen on flavor, want to hang out in a kool place, located in a great neighborhood, then San Loco is the place to be. Enjoy....
It's my favorite tex-mex place. I miss the one on 2nd Avenue. They're still really good on Stanton Street. Don't order the street tacos if you're used to street tacos in Jackson Heights, Corona and East Elmhurst. They're small, overpriced, dry and less tasty. They weren't originally on the menu years ago. They specialize in tex-mex.I always order the chicken enchiladas and macho nachos. Open very late.
They’re food was like crack to me i used to beggg for someone to take me here all the time but recently like about a week ago they gave me white slobby meat and tried to cover it with cheese! It was so disgusting
Such a terrific, classic, tasty dining establishment. Food was savory. Charming staff, love the photos, artwork and attentive staff. Antipasto - so delightfully fresh! Oh, did I mention that people walk around singing Sinatra? Fun!
A tad bit Pricey. Veggie taco was excellent.
Simple Mexican food very tasty. Almost feels like Chipotle in a way but it's not. Open late nights and also serves hard liquor so it's a bar in a way too. Prices are reasonable but not the cheapest that you can expect for simple Mexican food. Decent place
All-time favorite spot. I always get the fish quesadilla with their stupid sauce. If you like hot sauce, get this! Very filling!
Beans are amazing. Tortillas are amazing. Get the guaco tacos. So delicious.
Food is great and so are the drinks. Very reasonable
I'll give it 4 stars I liked it, my lady said the meat could've been seasoned better tho. But I didn't have any complaints
Still the best Taco in NYC!! Not all these new boujee taco joints in town. Service, quality and comfort. Been coming for more years than I can remember.
Love the food. A little pricey but well worth it. Everything is fresh and made to order
Drinks are good, food is not authentic. Order a burrito and was disappointed because it only had american cheese , shredded chicken and tomato sauce. No rice ,no beans ,no lettuce, no tomato.
Really nothing but enjoyable experiences here, I'll be back. Prices are reasonable I would say. Feels similar to a cafe in Chicago I liked.
As a Texan in New York I gotta say this satisfies the cravings more than most places I’ve been to. I’m vegetarian and every time I get Mexican food I always end up with straight veggies vs a nice mix of veggies and beans. San Loco has such a good balance and great portions so I am full and satisfied at the end of my meal instead of left wanting. Don’t get me wrong, can I compare to anything in TX? No. Is it some of the best in manhattan? Probably
The guac taco was off the hook. So good! 😋😋👌Sangria was boozy and delicious. Had to take some tacos to go!
The one on ave a used to be great. This one served stale taco, stale tortilla, stale guacamole, horrible margarita.
This is our go to spot for excellent soft tacos or nachos but mostly for the Margaritas (frozen or on the rocks). Sometimes noisy and crowded but always delicious Chipotle chicken. Try our new favorite...the prickly pear margarita.
Great food!
The food is good authentic fresh Mexican, fresh warm chips with taco bowl with guacamole & a burrito with salsa, peppers 🌶 & sour cream is tasty good, tacos 🌮 are good too. The price is inexpensive $$ a good deal. The frozen margaritas are 👍 Great and half price drink deals at lunch. in a very hip neighborhood on lower east side of NYC. The space however is a little small, they do have some outdoor tables though.
Delicious food and cheap cocktails
Great taco
Margaritas and taco salad.. love it here
Just something about it. Casual counter, can grab some drinks, I love this spot. Local legend
Tacos weren't fresh- the carnitas were tough and the fish in the fish tacos was stale. Nachos were okay- much better than the tacos. The frozen margarita was tasty but not strong at all for 13 bucks, very much over priced. I should of went to the spot next door.
Been coming here for 6 years now. They still offer one of the best taco lunches you’ll find around. $8 for two crunchy tacos and $6 frozen strong margitas. Make sure to ask for serious or stupid sauce to try some really good hot sauces.
The best nachos and margaritas in town! Deff recommend
Made to order, fresh, good ingredients, opened late, diverse menu... this place is “old reliable”. Nearby food trucks are cheaper but you pay for it later.
I've been eating tacos at one location or another for years. We used to go to the one on Second, but that's now closed, as is the location on A. Just great street tacos, and the taco locos are awesome. My son loves the queso loco, but I prefer the bean version. Mostly that's what we get, though the burritos are pretty good too. While this location may not have the same divey atmosphere, it's still one of the best places to go to get a sense of when NYC used to be gritty and cool. That's it: no hipster vibe here, just cheap, good tacos.
Delicious food. My favorite burritos and veggie taco salads. Fresh ingredients always, and I have never been served a meal that I didn’t love. Great environment for a quick bite, also local and convenient for take out. The salad in the photo is the beef taco salad and the dressing is SO delicious. I love this place.❤️
Great service. Great food. Love the margaritas. Lovely spot !! And there’s a bathroom
Love them! Community minded. God bless small businesses in NYC who let you put up flyers for their school rummage sales, Open Studios, Blood Drives, etc. Because Key Food won't let you and neither will the LES hipster boutiques who are actually part of larger corporations (ask 'um). But little spots like this create community. They have a community board by the restrooms but with social distancing they let us put a flyer on the window. They have always been so nice. And I love their food.
The Guaco Loco is the best. Soft flour tortilla, filled with guacamole, then an entire traditional hard corn taco (choice of beef, chicken or fish) placed inside. Lots of cheese lettuce tomato. It’s just so tasty!
The guacoloco, quesoloco, and street tacos are the bomb!! I come here about once a week as it's my favorite taqueria in NYC and I've never been disappointed.
I get the lime frozen margaritas served in Mason jars here and kids chicken quesadillas. Customer service quality depends on who is behind the bar. Better to stick with the drinks. Rarely buy food here outside of happy hour because it can get expensive quickly with the food plus the drinks. Food is okay. My husband likes the burritos. Don't go too late, though (e.g. 2am on a Friday). By then, the margarita machine isn't at it's best, and you'll get a liquidy mess.
Delicious! Fresh and hot :-) My favorites are the fish queso loco and sangria. Plus I can't leave there without cinnamon crisp chips and flan for the road. So many choices. When I've over indulged, their veggie chili makes me feel better about myself.
The margaritas are great. We came during happy hour and got strawberry margaritas. The food was very flavorful and was a great deal!
This is a great late night taco place. I enjoyed everything I had except the queso loco. You would think I would be overwhelmed with cheese but it wasn't cheesy enough for me.
I've always loved San locos. I used to go to,the one that used to be on Ave A all the time. This spot was nice, plenty of tables, and huge flat screen TV. Frozen margaritas are just how remember. I gave a 4 stars instead of 5,only because the beef macho nacho, was a little wimpy. It was good but not like I remembered. Still a good spot for some tacos and strong frozen margaritas at an awesome price!
Looking forward to returning with my coworkers. Prices were good for how much you get. Wish it was closer to my house, I would come every week.
